Aural skills are the foundation of musicianship, and almost nobody gets taught them properly. Solfera builds them the way skill is actually built: a structured curriculum, deliberate drilling, and competition that makes you come back tomorrow.
Product in development
Aural skills sit underneath every other musical ability. Sight-reading, intonation, improvisation, and ensemble playing all run through them. Yet outside a handful of conservatories, they are taught inconsistently, assessed rarely, and practiced almost never between lessons. Students have no way to know whether they are improving. Institutions have no consistent way to measure whether their teaching works.

A sequential curriculum, targeted drilling, timed competition, ranked tiers, and a global event, designed to build skill and keep you returning to it.
Ear-training apps drill exercises without a curriculum. Course platforms teach theory without reinforcement. Consumer apps gamify without standards alignment. Solfera unifies all three.
A curriculum that sequences properly, not a pile of exercises.
Competition as the retention engine: deliberate practice needs a reason to continue.
Progress measured against a standard, so a score means something outside the app.
Built from the start for institutions to adopt, not retrofitted for them later.
Whether you are preparing for an audition, teaching a theory class, or closing a gap you have carried since school. The free tier includes the core curriculum, Leagues, and Resonaré.
